Right from the start in 2014 when i started doing Girls und Panzer skins for War Thunder, people asked me to do the Camo of the Hippo team. Back then i told them to use the Version of @leroyonly .
Time passed, my way of doing skins changed a lot, but people still asked me from time to time to do this skin. So last week or so i decided finally to do it. ^^
So what did i do with this one?
Of course the whole skin was directly painted, i used the 3dModel in 3dsMax with the CanvasPaintTool to recreate it exactly how it was shown in the series. I assigned new wood textures to the tools, i reworked the whole Nfile of the Body to get rid of the Dirt while keeping some of the original weathering. I hereby like to thank @BHmaster for his tutorial session on Discord about how to do the n_file that way. I also created all decals from scratch. To do so i took multiple screenshots from EP.3 of the GUP series where the STUG appeared featuring this "Camo". Based on those Screenshots i drew the decals in Photoshop.
About the Camo itself:
The crew of hippo team is a bunch of history buffs.
Each of them has their own historical period they are interested in.
So when it came to painting the STUG III they couldn't agree on a color and went for "each adds something"
Thats why we have:
Red with the Roman Eagle and the emblem of the 1st legion + famous caesar quote on the front of the tank.
Wehrmacht Dunkelgelb and the emblem of the DAK with a Balkenkreuz and a Rommel Quote "Vergießt Schweiß - aber kein Blut!" on the back.
Blue and White and several crests and banners of various Japanese Samurai / Houses on the sides.
Later today i will re-release an updated version of the hippo teams second camo for the STUG III F.
The old version i made back in 2015 got more then 3000 Downloads and 90 Likes.
Special thanks to all who helped me with infos and data / custom mission creation / and vehicle donations.

随着时间的流逝，我做皮肤的方式改变了很多，但人们仍然不时地要求我做这个皮肤。
所以上周左右，我终于决定这么做了。^ ^
我对这个做了什么?
当然，整个皮肤是直接绘制的，我使用3dsMax中的3dModel和CanvasPaintTool来重新创建它，就像它在系列中显示的那样。我给工具分配了新的木材纹理，我重做了车体的文件，以摆脱污垢，同时保持一些原始的风化。在此我想感谢@BHmaster在Discord上关于如何用这种方式处理n_file的教程。我也从零开始创建了所有的贴花。为了做到这一点，我从GUP系列的EP.3截屏，在那里突击炮出现了这个“迷彩”。基于这些截图，我在Photoshop中绘制了这些贴图。
关于迷彩本身:
河马队的队员都是一群历史迷。
他们每个人都有自己感兴趣的历史时期。
所以当要给三号突击炮上色时，他们在颜色上无法达成一致，于是就用了“各有所长”的说法。
这就是为什么我们有:
红色的坦克前面有罗马鹰和第一军团的徽章+著名的凯撒语录。
黄色的国防军和德意志国防军的徽章，背面有巴尔肯克鲁伊兹和隆美尔的名言“Vergießt Schweiß - aber kein Blut!”
蓝色和白色，两侧有各种日本武士/家族的徽章和旗帜。
今天晚些时候，我将重新发布一个更新版的河马组的突击炮F的第二迷彩。
我在2015年做的旧版本获得了3000多次下载和90个赞。
特别感谢所有帮助我的信息和数据/自定义任务创建/车辆捐赠。
