This AD-2 was assigned to VA-65 in March of 1951 on the USS Valley Forge, CV-45, as part of CVG-2 in the Korean war. All layers created from scratch in 8k resolution. Primary texture and specular maps built according to original blueprints and technical manuals from Douglas Aircraft Corp. and the US Navy relating to rivet & panel line placement, port and lock accesses, stencil markings, etc. Weathering, damage, staining, fading, soot, etc. added to reflect a condition of heavy use from a carrier in a combat environment from the study of contemporary photos and maintenance documentation.
