The 21st officially commissioned fighter jet of the J-15 series. It is deployed in the LIAONING aircraft carrier fighter squadron.

It is the first carrier based fighter aircraft in service with the Chinese Navy and is highly favored by the Chinese Navy due to its powerful multi-purpose capabilities.

Until today, the Chinese Navy still uses a modernized version of the J-15.
